xBioShieldUV 18W: In-Duct UV-C Light for HVAC Purification
Transform how your HVAC pathway handles airborne contaminants with the Mammoth BioShieldUV 18W UV light. Designed for in-duct installation, this compact module sits inside your ductwork and draws power from your existing HVAC ballast, delivering ultraviolet C light along the air path. As air flows through the furnace or air handler, the UV-C energy targets the micro-scale zone where mold, mildew, and other particulates can linger, offering a supplementary purification touchpoint within your system.
Key technical strengths include TruBlu UV-C technology delivering a robust 253 nm wavelength, noted for high-intensity output within the duct. This energy helps reduce visible growth and airborne particulates as air travels along the duct path. The unit is fire-safe certified for continuous in-duct operation, built to run year after year inside your system without requiring a separate outlet or external power source.
Real-world use cases you might appreciate include quiet operation during long HVAC cycles in hot or cold seasons, and a compact upgrade that fits within many duct layouts—ideal for residences, small offices, or light commercial spaces that rely on a ducted system.
