Kenmore Elite 81714 Pet-Friendly Bagged Canister Vacuum with HEPA and Pet PowerMate

Overview

The Kenmore Elite 81714 Bagged HEPA Canister Vacuum is designed for versatile cleaning across all floors. From smooth hardwood and laminate to high-pile carpet, this model blends power with control. The motorized Pet PowerMate attachment tackles pet hair, dander, and dust, while the bagged design helps keep debris contained and away from your living spaces.

Why homeowners appreciate this system

A true two-motor configuration delivers strong suction without sacrificing maneuverability, enabling you to move easily around furniture and into tight corners. The Ultra Plush nozzle uses airflow to reach deep into carpeting, giving you a deeper, more thorough clean. The lightweight build and onboard tools make it practical for daily use, from quick touch-ups to full room cleans.

• HEPA filtration captures 99.97% of debris, helping contain dander, dust, pollen, and odors inside the vacuum for calmer rooms.
• A retractable 26-foot cord reduces constant rewinding and provides extended reach for larger spaces.

Pet-friendly cleaning you can rely on

The Motorized Pet PowerMate lifts stubborn pet hair and dander from carpets, baseboards, furniture, and stairs. Its thoughtful design minimizes hair tangling around the brush, helping maintain effective suction between bag changes.

• Three dedicated attachments—crevice nozzle, upholstery brush, and dusting brush—cover hard-to-reach areas and delicate fabrics.
• Onboard storage keeps all tools within easy reach, so you’re ready for quick cleanups anywhere in the home or car.

Real-life use cases and everyday advantages

Lightweight and easy to maneuver, this vacuum excels at multi-room cleans, apartment setups, and homes with pets. The telescoping wand extends reach to stairs, high shelves, and car interiors, while the stair grip helps the unit rest securely on stairs during longer jobs. The retractable cord and durable wheels support smooth transitions between room layouts, making routine maintenance feel less time-consuming.

Maintenance and care tips

For sustained performance, ensure the wand is firmly connected and replace bags as needed. Regular checks help prevent motor strain and keep suction consistent across cleaning tasks.
