simplehuman 45L Rectangular Hands-Free Kitchen Trash Can with Soft-Close Matte Black Stainless Steel

Overview

Meet the simplehuman 45L Rectangular Hands-Free Kitchen Trash Can, a modern solution designed for tidy, convenient waste management. Its rectangular silhouette fits neatly against walls and under counters, and the hands-free pedal lets you open the lid without touching it, keeping counters clean as you move between tasks.

Smart, space-efficient design

The stainless steel liner rim flips up for quick, secure liner changes, then folds down to conceal the edge and keep the liner hidden from sight. With no inner bucket, you gain valuable capacity for everyday trash and bag changes feel simpler.

Inside, a dedicated liner pocket stores refills and dispenses them one by one from inside the can, so you can grab a new liner without chasing perforations or unraveling bags.

Durable, quiet, and dependable

The can uses a strong wide steel pedal built to last—up to 150,000 steps—so it remains responsive through years of daily use. When it’s time to close, lid shox technology delivers a slow, silent, controlled close that won’t disrupt your kitchen routines.

An internal hinge keeps the lid from bumping the wall, maintaining a sleek, neat profile even in tight spaces. For liner compatibility, Code M liners fit this can perfectly—no bunching or slipping—and when you’re done, liner refill packs tuck away safely in the liner pocket for easy storage.

Two quick-reference lists

• NEAT AND SECURE: Stainless steel liner rim flips up to change liners quickly, then closes over the liner to hold it in place and hide it.
• LINER POCKET: Dispense liners from inside the can, one by one, with no perforations or unraveling.
• STRONG WIDE STEEL PEDAL: Extra-wide pedal lasts up to 150,000 steps for sustained use.
• SILENT CLOSE LID: Lid shox provides a slow, near-silent close for a calm kitchen.
• INTERNAL HINGE: Keeps the lid away from walls to protect against scuffs.

Two quick-use scenarios help you imagine daily life with this can: prepping vegetables and discarding scraps on the counter, or sealing bags after tidy kitchen tasks. Liners stay tidy, refills are easy to reach, and the whole unit presents a clean, modern footprint.

Two more reasons to consider

• CODE M compatibility helps you maintain a neat, secure fit—no wasted bags.
